Dispose-A-Med

Dispose-A-Med Events

The Pima County Sheriff's Department will be hosting Dispose-A-Med events intermittently throughout the year. These events are offered free of charge thanks to a grant provided by the Department of Justice.

We WILL accept the following items:

  • Pills
  • Capsules
  • Caplets
  • Gel Caps
  • Medicated Patches

The following items will not be accepted:

  • Metal or glass inhalation aerosol bottles
  • Syringes
  • Epi-pens
  • Creams
  • Liquids
  • Diabetic test strips
  • Powders

For safety and confidentiality reasons, any items turned over for collection cannot be returned.  We do not accept drugs from commercial organizations. Dispose-A-Med Bin Locations

Our Green Valley, Rincon, Foothills, San Xavier, Tucson Mountain, and Ajo stations offer a drop-off bin for unused prescription drugs and over the counter medications. These bins are accessible Monday - Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
