Inmate Property

booking.jpgInmates must maintain one full set of clothing with Inmate Property; other stored personal property may be released to an outside party, someone not in the custody of the Pima County Adult Detention Center.

All property releases and clothing exchanges are conducted at the Property Release/Exchange window located in the property area of the Main Jail Complex. Call (520) 351-8112 for information.

Inmates with an active Superior Court trial may exchange clothing for court appearances. One like-item must be exchanged for another; i.e., one shirt may be exchanged for another shirt, trousers for trousers, shoes for shoes, skirt for skirt, etc. Shoe laces, neck ties, and belts will not be accepted. One complete set of clothing must remain in property storage (trousers and shirt, or dress, or skirt and blouse, and shoes).

An inmate must initiate the release or exchange of clothing by submitting an Inmate Property Transaction form. Only the individual named on the form will be allowed to pick up or exchange the property. Hours for exchanges are 7:00am to 10:00pm daily.

Property belonging to an inmate transferred to the Department of Corrections may be picked up at the front desk of the Minimum Security Facility. Property may be picked-up beginning the first Monday following the inmate's transfer to DOC on the following:

  • Monday and Thursday 7:00am to 7:00pm
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 7:00am to 12:30pm
  • Saturday 12:30pm to 7:00pm

Any property not picked up within ninety (90) days of the inmate's transfer will be disposed. Contact the Property Section at (520) 351-8281 for additional information.
