Two arrested in Louis Vuitton robberies at La Encantada.

On May 21, 2012, three suspects entered the Louis Vuitton store at the La Encantada Mall and forcefully stole $40,450 worth of purses. Descriptions of the three suspects to include a vehicle were provided to law enforcement. A subsequent media release was done regarding this case.
A Tucson Police Department detective, who saw the evening news, contacted us and provided suspect and vehicle information based on their recent interactions with the suspects on an unrelated matter. Through further investigation it was learned that the suspects were living in the Phoenix area.
Pima County Sheriff’s detectives made contact with and began actively working with the Phoenix Police Department and the Scottsdale Police Department, as we discovered that our suspects may be involved in several thefts in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. Surveillance efforts were initiated while additional investigation was underway.
On June 13, 2012, detectives from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department obtained search warrants for two locations in the greater Phoenix area. Additionally, arrest warrants were obtained for two individuals, Lamont Hennix, Jr. (DOB 09/18/1988) and Virgil Raymond Nave (DOB 11/13/1981).
Pima County Sheriff’s Robbery Assault detectives traveled to Phoenix later in the day and met with various members of the Phoenix and Scottsdale Police Departments who assisted in serving warrants at the two homes. Evidentiary items from the incident at La Encantada Mall were found at both residences.
Mr. Hennix, Jr. and Mr. Nave were located and arrested. Additional subjects encountered were interviewed regarding these cases. The Phoenix Police Department and Scottsdale Police Department have additional investigative tasks to complete for their incidents and therefore no additional details will be released at this time so as to ensure that they can complete their investigations.
